Allie Hankins is a choreographer who explores image-making and the codification of body language as a choreographic catalyst. A Seattle resident  since 2008, Hankins has presented her works at On the Boards’ NW New Works Festival, Patrick’s Cabaret in Minneapolis (as part of the SCUBA National Touring Network for Dance), Velocity Dance Center, PICA’s TBA Festival, and Conduit Dance. As a collaborator, Hankins performs as part of Seattle-based dance/sound performance company Salt Horse, has designed movement for experimental theater ensemble Implied Violence (with which she toured to New York’s New Island Festival and Austria’s DonauFestival, under the tutelage of Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center). Hankins was recently granted a residency at Robert Rauschenberg Foudation facilities in Captiva, FL for the spring of 2013.
